The battle between Everton and Wolverhampton Wanderers for Felipe is now detailed by Marca.

The Spanish newspaper features a story saying the defender has ‘opened the door’ for an exit, as he could be living his final days at Atlético Madrid.

They first recall that there had been a verbal agreement for him to join Wolves along with Matheus Cunha. However, since he didn’t accept the financial conditions, that move collapsed.

It turns out that Atlético Madrid continue to be interested in letting him go, and with Everton joining the race for him, the possibilities for his departure got bigger.

This race is said to be intense now, because as Everton ‘pull strong’, the player continues without an agreement with Wolves, although the issue this time is the length of contract.

It’s said the final decision is expected to be made ‘in the coming days’. It’s not clear whether either of those Premier League clubs already have an agreement with Atlético for the move, but considering how interested are the Spanish side are in letting him go, that shouldn’t be a problem.
