Finding it difficult to spend large sums in the summer window, Everton have a couple of their targets commented on by the Italian media today.

It’s Turin newspaper Tuttosport who feature a story talking about a few Juventus players who could leave the club in the next month, and one of them could end up at Goodison Park.

It all starts with Everton being interested in signing Wilfried Gnonto from Leeds United. The outlet points out the Toffees are having a hard time in the chase for the Whites’ player, since the Elland Road side demand €30m for his sale.

That’s why Sean Dyche’s side turned their attention to Samuel Iling-Junior, having already requested information on the English winger. He’s believed to be a cheaper option, with Juventus asking for €25m and likely to drop from that figure.

That Juventus have a price tag on him doesn’t mean they’re very interested in selling. Tuttosport write that Iling is only leaving if an ‘important offer arrives’, since he’s highly appreciated at the club, and they would have no problems keeping him in the squad for next season.

That sounds like posturing, and Everton would have a good chance with a reasonable offer.
