While a lot of the information regarding the potential transfer of Moises Caicedo from Brighton & Hove Albion to Arsenal has come from England, we get a tidbit from Ecuador on Monday afternoon.

It’s rather clear that the Gunners are going all out to get the Seagulls star, but Roberto De Zerbi’s side are doing their best to stand firm, despite the player applying some pressure from his end.

That hasn’t led to Brighton accepting the latest bid from Arsenal, but if the latest from Tera Deportes in the midfielder’s home country is to be believed, everything is heading in the right direction.

Taking to their Twitter account, the outlet state there ‘have been talks’ between those in charge of transfers at the Seagulls and the London side today, and those are ‘well advanced’.

As things stand, it’s said that ‘the most complicated’ part of putting the deal together remains the fee that Arsenal would have to pay Brighton, but there are already some ‘agreements’ in place.

That means a decision could be reached ‘very soon’, although when that will be remains to be seen.

Either way, should Brighton accept Arsenal’s offer for the midfielder, they will likely want as much time as possible to replace him, so the sooner a decision is made, the better.
