In the past few days, reports from Spain revealed Newcastle United’s interest in Celta de Vigo youngster Gabri Veiga.

It was reported that the 20-year-old, who’s been impressing in La Liga lately, is ‘closely followed’ by the Magpies, who have been sending scouts to watch him.

Now it seems Newcastle should be aware of a situation surrounding Veiga, as the player is reportedly changing agents very soon.

Outlet AS today writes that the contract the player has with his current agency Intermedia Sport Player is set to expire at the end of the month.

It’s claimed that several agents are already approaching him to try a partnership, but there’s already a specific one who’s closer to a deal, and that’s Pini Zahavi.

The representative is well known in European football, having great connections in the Premier League, and would be of big help for Veiga to find a good destination in the future.

AS also points out that with the player having a €40m release clause, that’s considered to be a ‘bargain’, given the potential he’s been showing.

So Newcastle should move fast, because as said in the report, the price ‘will not be the obstacle’ for clubs to go after him.
