Chelsea forward Hakim Ziyech is the “dream transfer for every supporter” at Ajax this summer as the Dutch side plan for a major rebuild.

That’s according to journalist Johan Inan, who believes the Moroccan forward could be an ideal option for the Dutch giants.

Ziyech is expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer as Chelsea need to undergo a major clear out of their squad and raise funds to comply with Financial Fair Play after two transfer windows of big spending.

He is very much out of favour at this moment in time, after a disappointing few years at Chelsea following a €40m move in July 2020.

This season he has featured in just 21% of the available minutes in the league and 903 in all competitions and it is believed he will push to leave in the summer to get his career back on track elsewhere.

Inan believes that could lead him back to former club Ajax, where every fan would welcome him with open arms.

“Hakim Ziyech is of course a dream transfer for every supporter,” he said.

“He hasn’t played much in recent years. And I hear Milan are following him, so whether that is feasible I don’t know.

“The tricky thing now is that surely they have to sing a tone lower, you also have to see what the lack of Champions League does to the salary house.”
