Despite late reports in France on Wednesday claiming that Manchester United were in the process of trying to buy Axel Disasi from AS Monaco, there is no worry in Italy regarding the Kim Min-jae deal.

The line in Italy by many has been that the South Korea international’s move to Old Trafford is all but done, with the Red Devils simply needing to trigger the release clause in his contract when it becomes active between July 1st and July 15th.

For those worrying that Kim might now not sign for Manchester United, former attorney and sports director Enrico Fedele, speaking to Radio Marte during Marte Sport Live, relayed by Area Napoli, went out of his way to reassure everyone.

He said: “Does Axel Disasi’s imminent move to Manchester United blow up Kim Min-jae’s move to the Red Devils? The South Korean has already left, he’s done everything with the English, don’t worry. At worst, they’ll buy two defenders.”

While there are some who might believe that this is a play for a new contract, there would be no need to go this far in stories for that to happen, as the centre-back’s performances this season have been more than enough for him to simply ask Napoli for one and state he is willing to increase or get rid of this release clause.

English reports are also trying to down play this deal, which isn’t out of the ordinary, since they did the same for around a year with the Bruno Fernandes pursuit when Manchester United were trying to sign the midfielder from Sporting CP.

We’ll make it clear that we aren’t saying it’s done, but there is simply far too much smoke here for there not to be a serious fire somewhere.
