The Portuguese press continues to disagree on the fee that Nottingham Forest will have to pay to sign Diogo Gonçalves permanently at the end of the season.

The Benfica player was confirmed by the Championship side on Thursday, arriving on a one-year loan deal.

With the buying option continuing to be undisclosed by the clubs, the papers have been trying to report the amount agreed, but have been getting some very different information.

We’ve read a few Portuguese newspapers this morning, and they all have different takes. O Jogo and Jornal de Notícias both claim the buying option is of €15m. On the other hand, Correio da Manhã says the fee is of €20m. A Bola isn’t sure about the exact figures, but claims ‘it’s not less than €20m’.

Along with Gonçalves, Nottingham Forest have also announced to signing of João Carvalho, who was signed on a €15m deal and given a five-year contract.

The Portuguese newspapers claim that the duo are returning to Lisbon today, and will be given the chance to enjoy the last days of their vacations in their home country. They’re presenting themselves to Forest at the end of the month.

The local press has been on the money with this double transfer, confirming the details for weeks, so it’s weird how they all disagree on Gonçalves’ fee.
