Reports in the Italian media suggest Leicester City are interested in signing AS Roma’s Leandro Paredes.

The Argentine midfielder spent the last season on loan at Empoli, and has been linked with a move to several Premier League clubs this summer.

Italian newspaper Il Tempo on Thursday reported Leicester have made a bid of around €20m for the 22-year-old, but that might not be the case if you were to believe another Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Gazzetta on Friday say AS Roma has only received one ‘real offer’ for Paredes, and that came from Zenit Saint Petersburg.

The offer from Zenit is reported to be less than €15m. Gazzetta claim Leicester are interested, but should make an offer close to €20m to sign the Argentine.

Paredes has another three years left on his contract at the Serie A club, and it is reported AS Roma don’t mind selling him.
