It looks like Nicklas Bendtner has finally found his new club. Denmark’s Ekstra Bladet say the striker is set to become the Sheriff of Nottingham, and sign up with Forest.

Talks are at an advanced stage, with Ekstra Bladet chasing up claims from England. It’s stated that, according to Ekstra Bladet’s own information, Bendtner is already in Nottingham for the final negotiations to take place.

The former Arsenal star could be announced as a Nottingham Forest player as soon as Wednesday, as long as negotiaitons finish smoothly.

Bendtner had wanted a return to English this football this summer. Earlier claims from Denmark stated Bendtner had agreed to reunite with his former Sunderland and Birmingham manager Steve Bruce at Hull City, but then the manager left his position and the deal was dead.

QPR and Wolves had also been interested, but now Nottingham Forest can quickly complete the deal.
