Crystal Palace youngster Scott Banks is attracting some interest from the Bundesliga, according to reports from the German media.

Bild today writes that FC St. Pauli are keen on signing the 21-year-old this summer.

Banks is said to be in Germany for the negotiations, so it does sound like there are advanced talks with Crystal Palace for the move.

The youngster has a contract with the Eagles until 2024 and is valued by Transfermarkt at €300k, with Bild claiming the transfer should cost a little more than that.

Crystal Palace bought Banks from Dundee United for a €300k fee back in 2020. Since then, he had loans at Alloa Athletic, Dunfermline Athletic and Bradford, never getting a chance to make his debut for the London club.

Playing for the League Two side last season, the winger had six goals and six assists in 36 appearances, and that campaign apparently drew the interest from St. Pauli.

With the Bundesliga club apparently negotiating for a permanent transfer, it seems a contract renewal with a loan deal isn’t an option considered by Crystal Palace.
