Liverpool are monitoring Croatian goalkeeper Ivor Pandur, according to claims.
TuttoMercatoWeb states the Reds have been keeping on eye on the 20-year-old, who represents Croatian side HNK Rijeka.
Apart from the Merseyside club, Juventus are also looking at the keeper and the report’s headline states there has been ‘contacts with Liverpool and Juventus’
TMW doesn’t make it clear who initiated the contact.
Pandur came up through the ranks of Rijeka before making his first team debut in October 2019. The keeper has made 10 appearances for Rijeka’s first team this season, in which he conceded eight goals and kept six clean sheets in the process.
He’s one of the jewels of Croatian football and TMW states the talented youngster is viewed as a future national team player. His contract with Rijeka runs down in 2023.
Speaking to Croatian newspaper Sportske Novosti in February, Pandur talked about his admiration for Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker.
“Ter Stegen and Alisson [are my role models]. A lot can be learned from them, in all segments of the game. It is fortunate that I can look at them and learn,” Pandur said.
Klopp has Adrian as a backup for Alisson, while academy graduate Caoimhín Kelleher and Andy Lonergan are the other two goalkeepers in the squad.
