Still without a goal for West Ham since his loan from Juventus, Simone Zaza’s future remains in the balance with Napoli continuously knocking at the Hammers’ door via their director of football, Cristiano Giuntoli.
In fact, Il Mattino on Friday report that Cristiano Giuntoli is in ‘constant contact’ with the player’s agent, who also happens to be his father, and the relationship between the two is labeled ‘solid’.
This, of course, could work in Slaven Bilic’s favour, who clearly doesn’t trust the Italian striker enough to make the difference anymore, with no goals or assists in 11 appearances for the club so far.
With a clause in the deal stipulating the loan will be made permanent after a certain amount of appearances (which vary from 10 to 15) for West Ham, things could get tricky come January, and Napoli could come and save the day both for Zaza and the London club.
That, and Valencia, managed by Cesare Prandelli, are also reported as tempted by the Juventus loanee.
Zaza, as things stand, looks more and more unlikely to see out the season at West Ham.
