We’ve got to a point that it’s no surprise to see international players testing positive for Covid-19. However, with the return of domestic football now right around the corner, it’s like players freshly testing positive will miss upcoming matches.

As reported by South American outlet Infobae today, there are now several sides, including Manchester United, who should be concerned with a Uruguay announcement from last night.

The national team reported that Atletico Madrid’s Luis Suarez, Cerro Porteños’s Rodrigo Munoz and a member of the coaching staff have tested positive and are leaving the training camp.

However, they’d all been in contact with the rest of the squad for the past few days, and it’s impossible to predict what will happen to their teammates next.

On Sunday, Manchester United star Edinson Cavani posted a video in which the players were all enjoying a barbecue together. Arsenal owned Lucas Torreira later posted a picture of many teammates gathering at the same place, wearing no masks.

Infobae highlights that the positive tests came out ‘hours later’ than the meal, and clubs are now worried about potential infection which hasn’t manifested yet.
