Despite coming off injured in the game against Atalanta, there is a lot of praise heading the way of Leeds United’s Diego Llorente in Italy.

The defender is on loan at AS Roma until the end of the season, and despite being out for 20 days or so, the player should be back before the last game of the campaign to prove himself once again.

What he has done to date, though, has impressed the Italian club, which is why they remain interested in buying him from Leeds full-time, according to Forza Roma.

However, it’s once again made clear by the local media that they will not pay the pre-agreed €18m included in the deal struck with the Elland Road side in January.

Instead, Forza Roma write that ‘the two clubs will meet soon to negotiate’ a new price, but it’s also made clear that Llorente staying is ‘far from guaranteed’.

Therefore, if Leeds are lenient enough, they could make some money, but it all depends on how they finish the season and whether or not Javi Gracia, if he stays on, wants to work with the Spaniard.

After all, he never had a say in that transfer, as it was all Jesse Marsch’s doing.
