Short of walking around carrying an advertising board, Eden Hazard has made his wish to join Real Madrid as clear as possible.

Much to the annoyance of some Chelsea fans, the Belgium international hasn’t kept his dream move a secret, and possibly believes his repeated flirting has been helpful with regards to a transfer.

Whilst Real Madrid, according to their local media, always prefer it when a player is open about his wish to sign for the club, there’s a chance Hazard has gone too far in recent years.

There’s always going to be interest in Hazard, he’s that level of player, but the flirting has been deemed a bit too strong at times.

Madrid may have made tentative efforts over a signing, yet the Chelsea player hasn’t been outright first choice for them, or a Galactico the club have been willing to do crazy things for.

Like they did with Thibaut Courtois, they can peak their interest at just the right time.

Thursday’s edition of Marca covers Maurizio Sarri’s comments this week, in which the Chelsea manager said his player should leave if he wants… it seems the Italian is also tired of the situation.

The Spanish newspaper explained Madrid can be primed to pounce for a relatively cut-price deal, with the Courtois deal referenced. It’s explained this transfer would be much more expensive, over €100m despite Hazard’s contract situation.

However, despite the will of the player, despite Sarri’s comments, and despite there being some level of interest, this transfer still hasn’t really caught the imagination in Madrid.
