Belgian side Gent have been urged to sell striker Gift Orban as soon as possible, with Fulham reportedly keen on his signature.

La Dernière Heure, relayed by Voetbal Nieuws, cover the player today after his impressive season so far, in which he has managed nine goals and two assists in ten games in the Jupiler League.

He’s also bagged five in six in the Europa Conference League, meaning he has a tally of 14 goals and two assists in 16 games, numbers which have not gone unnoticed.

Indeed, a report in Italy at the end of March made it clear that Fulham were among his suitors as they look to bolster their forward line at the end of the season.

That stated that Fulham, and Bayer Leverkusen, had been keeping a close eye on Orban’s performances this season, despite the fact he only signed for Gent from Stabæk Fotball at the end of the January transfer window.

He’s impressed since then and Gent have now been urged to cash in on his growing reputation if they are presented with an opportunity to do so.

“Sell Orban as soon as possible,” La Dernière Heure write on the forward today.

“Given his record, he will bring Gent at least €10m in the summer, but he does not have the talent of a Boniface with his back to goal or in combination.

“He has the necessary technical and tactical gaps. I can see him ending up at a Lille or Bologna to continue his development.”
