Erik ten Hag’s first match in charge as the Manchester United manager ended in a 4-0 win over Liverpool in the pre-season friendly tie in Bangkok.

The Red Devils had a few players who impressed the coach and among them is Eric Bailly, who came off the bench in the second half.

His performance against Liverpool could give Ten Hag a selection headache, but the Manchester United boss feels otherwise.

“No, it doesn’t give me a headache. I am happy. We need a full squad for the coming season with a lot of games. In the middle there’s a World Cup so we need a really full squad with a lot of competition between the players so we push each other to a higher level,” Ten Hag was quoted as saying by Manchester United’s official website.

Ten Hag’s comments have not stopped the Ivory Coast international being linked with a move away from Old Trafford.

Napoli have identified the former Villarreal man as one of the targets this summer, as the Serie A side will see Kalidou Koulibaly soon complete a move to Chelsea and must bring in a replacement for him.

The Italian club, who had Manchester United’s Axel Tuanzebe on loan in January, again look at the Premier League side this summer.

That’s according to Italian journalist Paolo Bargiggia, who states Bailly is ‘climbing’ the list of options alongside Fenerbahçe’s Kim Min-jae as one of eight players Napoli have made contact with about a potential transfer.
