After losing out on Manchester City’s Jason Denayer to Olympique Lyonnais, Fotomac claim Galatasaray are now looking to sign Gary Cahill from Chelsea.

The Istanbul club were linked with the Manchester City defender throughout the summer.

It’s reported Galatasaray president Mustafa Cengiz has opened talks with Chelsea football director Marina Granovskaia with regards to signing Cahill.

Fotomac say Chelsea have now given Galatasaray permission to talk with Cahill and that the Turkish giants are now preparing their offer.

Earlier in the transfer window, we covered claims from Turkey that Galatasaray are keen on signing the England international on a free transfer.

It’s been well documented the Turkish club are short of options in central defence, and Cahill seems high on the list after failing to get an agreement with Manchester City for Denayer.

Galatasaray have until next week to get a deal done for the Chelsea centre-back.
