The Turkish media today reveals Fenerbahce’s interest in Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

The information is brought by outlet Fanatik, who claims the Istanbul club have already ‘started negotiations’ with the 27-year-old to sign him.

Fenerbahce should need to replace Miguel Crespo this summer, and they have found who ‘they were looking for’ in Loftus-Cheek, meaning the club should use the money from that sale and invest in the Chelsea player.

For now, there’s no information on how much they’d be planning to take the Englishman from the Blues.

Loftus-Cheek has 28 appearances for Chelsea this season. He’s had many ups and downs in the past few months, as sometimes he’d get starts, but hasn’t even been brought on the pitch by caretaker manager Frank Lampard.

The midfielder has a contract with Chelsea until 2024, but the club keep an option of extending that expire date for one more year.

He’s currently valued by Transfermarkt at €25m, a lot more then Miguel Crespo, so Fenerbahce would probably need to put some cash from his own pocket instead of just selling one and getting him replaced with the other.
