Tottenham Hotspur defender Jan Vertonghen is once again highlighted by Italian newspaper Tuttosport today.
The outlet insists that Inter Milan will be making an offer to sign the player in the summer, once his contract with Spurs comes to an end.
It’s said the Nerazzurri have been interested in Vertonghen for a while, and started making moves once they understood that José Mourinho wanted a replacement for the Belgian international.
His national teammate Romelu Lukaku is said to be helping in the talks as well, and Inter Milan would offer Vertonghen a two-year deal, with an option of a further one.
Despite being a 32-year-old at the end of his contract and set to be replaced by someone else, Vertonghen is still getting a fair amount of playing time under José Mourinho this season, with 32 appearances so far.
With Italian clubs getting used to signing big players on free agency, Vertonghen is one of the good names in the market for the next summer window.
