Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Yves Bissouma is a target for AS Monaco as they line up replacements for Aurelien Tchouameni.

That’s according to journalist Saber Desfarges, who says the Brighton man is on a list of three possible options for the French side.

Tchouameni looks set to move to the Bernabeu in the coming weeks, with Real Madrid having pushed themselves to the front of his long line of suitors with a deal worth €80m up front and €20m or so in bonuses.

His departure will leave a huge hole for Monaco to fill, and the club are making a list of options to do so, according to Desfarges.

They have ‘ticked three names’ on their list, and among them is Brighton’s Bissouma, as well as Amadou Onana.

There’s no mention of what they would be willing to pay for either player, although it’s hard to see Brighton being willing to give up Bissouma on the cheap, given his performances and importance in Graham Potter’s squad.

Indeed the Seagulls are adept at getting the best prices for their players and if Monaco decide to make a move, expect them to demand a high figure for Bissouma too.
