Hugo Lloris may find an interesting way out of Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Lazio are now seriously interested in signing the 36-year-old from Spurs.

It’s said the Serie A side are currently looking for a second goalkeeper, and have the Tottenham player as a ‘candidate’ for that place.

Lloris is an obvious target as he’s said to be ‘looking for a new team’ after his years at Spurs.

With Lazio ‘seriously insisting’ on the signing, they reportedly opened negotiations with Tottenham for the move.

The goalkeeper’s contract with Spurs runs until 2024, and it isn’t said how much the club demand for his sale. He’s valued by Transfermarkt at €3m, but there’s been talk of a free transfer.

Tottenham have never hidden that Lloris would stay on the bench this season, and signed Guglielmo Vicario from Empoli in a €20m deal.

Now in case the Frenchman wants a move to be first choice somewhere else, it seems that Lazio may not be offering him that. The Serie A side may sound like a good destination, but not with the status the goalkeeper will likely have wanted.
