In the past few days, several claims from Brazil have been saying Corinthians would be interested in signing Lucas Piazon from Chelsea.

One of the reasons why the story was backed up is because club president Andres Sanchez has travelled to Europe to find some deals for the next season.

However, now back to Brazil, the official has denied these claims in an informal chat with journalists, according to Globo Esporte.

The outlet says that Sanchez has revealed that ‘four or five signings’ are close to being done, but Piazon is not one of them.

The president has claimed he’s not signing any players from agents Giuliano Bertolucci or Kia Joorabchian, who are exactly the representatives of Piazon. He does have a good relationship with such officials, but denied any talks with them.

With Corinthians now apparently out of the race, Piazon’s future remains open. Last Sunday, claims from Brazil said that Derby County would be interested in the Chelsea player as well.
