AC Milan’s interest in Chelsea midfielder Hakim Ziyech is a rumour which continues to grow in the Italian media, getting a fresh update from Calcio Mercato.

With many compliments sent to the 29-year-old, the outlet writes that Rossoneri chiefs Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are ‘in love with this boy’, and now work to get his signing done.

It’s said there were contacts with Ziyech on Friday ‘to reaffirm their willingness’ of taking a ‘new concrete step with Chelsea.’

Calcio Mercato claims the player wants the move to Milan, as this is the ‘preferred solution’ there is for his future.

Regarding Chelsea’s stance on the sale, the website claims ‘his adventure in London is considered to be over’, since there’s no chance he could fix his relationship with Thomas Tuchel, so they’d make the move easier.

Even though Milan have other targets to work on, it’s said the track for Ziyech is ‘more alive than ever’. There aren’t, however, any details on the price offered by the Rossoneri or demanded by the Blues for the move, although previous reports already mentioned the possibility of a loan deal.
