Jorginho has just over a year left on his contract at Chelsea and as it stands, the west London club cannot offer him a new deal due to the sanctions imposed on Roman Abramovich.
The midfielder, meanwhile, has been attracting interest from the Serie A and specifically from Juventus.
Massimiliano Allegri is keen on having the Chelsea star at his disposal next season. The Old Lady are studying different formulas to bring the 30-year-old to Italy in the summer.
One such formula is discussed by Tutto Juve as they mention about a ‘possible exchange’ involving the former Napoli man and Adrien Rabiot.
It’s claimed Thomas Tuchel is an ‘admirer’ of the France international, who is three years younger than Jorginho. The two players have ‘similar engagement’ [salary] so the swap deal is unlikely to have any impact on their wage bill.
Due to the age difference between Rabiot and the Brazil-born Italy international, Juve will ask for a ‘small’ fee of €5-10m and this is something that ‘Chelsea could also guarantee’.
A potential exchange deal involving the two midfielders would only be possible if the Blues are allowed to make new signings in the summer.
