As Pape Matar Sarr struggles for minutes with Tottenham Hotspur this season, more clubs get interested in taking him from Spurs.

The latest news comes from Italy, where it’s claimed that Salernitana are now working to sign the 20-year-old.

Calcio Mercato write that in recent days, the Serie A side ‘initiated contacts’ to bring Sarr from Tottenham, even though the operation is considered ‘not easy’.

The big problem for Salernitana is said to be the competition. It’s claimed that Sevilla and ‘other foreign clubs’ are also interested in the player, and there’s a big chance an auction will ‘be unleashed’ in the coming months.

But the Italian club are still confident they can make big signings, and that’s whey they’re ‘trying’ for this one as well.

In the past few weeks, we had also seen reports from Spain talking about Sevilla’s interest in the player. That can only be good news for Tottenham, who despite not making any use of him this season, are apparently set to have a couple of chances of sending him somewhere else in January, or even work for a sale.
