On November 26th, we carried a report from FcInterNews, who explained Inter Milan CEO Giuseppe Marotta met Christian Eriksen’s agent Martin Schoots to ‘officially established contacts’.

The Denmark international will be a free agent in the summer after deciding against signing a new deal at Tottenham Hotspur.

Apart from the Serie A side, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are reported to be interested in the playmaker.

The latest report from FcInterNews claims Spurs’ idea is to sell Eriksen in January for €23-24m, but this doesn’t convince the player and his representative.

It’s claimed Antonio Conte’s side are ‘serious’ and ‘want to close’ the deal so that they can beat any potential competition from Real Madrid and PSG.  Their idea is to sign Eriksen on a free transfer, but ‘Inter are in a hurry’ to find an agreement now for the summer.

There have been ‘increasingly close contacts’ between Marotta and Schoots and the latter could be expected to arrive in Italy soon. This would provide Marotta another opportunity to personally hold talks with the agent.

FcInterNews ends the report by stating ‘Eriksen-Inter hot days and a future that is starting to be tinged with Nerazzurri’.

Time will tell whether or not Inter will win the race for Eriksen’s signature.
