N’Golo Kanté has made two appearances for Chelsea this season and his last outing with them came in the Blues’ 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur in August 2022.

The France international has been sidelined since then with a hamstring injury, which had also forced him to miss the World Cup.

His deal runs down in June and has been linked with a move away from Chelsea, as the 31-year-old has attracted attention from Barcelona and even clubs outside Europe.

For the latter, Al-Nassr FC have been named as one of the midfielder’s suitors.

After completing Cristiano Ronaldo’s signing earlier this month, the Saudi Arabian club had shown interest in the Blues star.

However, Al-Nassr ‘have decided to drop out of the race’ to sign the former Leicester City man because of the ‘complexity of the talks with his agent’.

That’s according to journalist Rudy Galetti, who took to Twitter to state the Frenchman’s ‘priority’ is to stay at Chelsea and renew his contract at Stamford Bridge.

Kanté is yet to play under Graham Potter, who arrived at Chelsea last September, after they sacked Thomas Tuchel, meaning we will have to wait and see if this is something the manager and the club want, likely to want to see how he recovers before making any decision.
