Yaya Toure’s agent Dimitri Seluk is at war with Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, and it’s very unlikely the Ivorian star will again feature for the club, unless there’s an immediate truce and peace talks.

It was something that was half expected since Guardiola was appointed as Manchester City’s boss. Italian website Tutto Mercato Web explain how a few bad choices have put Yaya Toure in such a situation.

TMW say Inter tried a couple of times to sign Toure, but the 33-year-old insisted on staying at Manchester City despite the arrival of Guardiola. Roberto Mancini tried signing Toure in 2015, and another effort was made a few months ago, but the midfielder was reluctant on signing for the Serie A club.

There were hesitations from Toure’s camp, and the deal finally fell through after the arrival of the Suning Group at Inter. TMW think that could be good for Inter, saying they’ve avoided a ‘media brawl’ like Toure’s current club are facing now.

Toure is now expected to leave Manchester City in the winter transfer window, or next summer when his contract expires at the club, and it’d be interesting to see if Inter reignite their interest in him.

With Mancini gone, Toure may have missed his Inter chance.
