Carlo Ancelotti has started his term at Bayern Muinch very impressively, as the Bundesliga giants have won every game under him so far.

The former Paris-Saint Germain boss has been speaking to French newspaper L’Equipe, and was asked about the teams he’d want Bayern Munich to avoid in the Champions League.

Ancelotti insisted he doesn’t want to face Pep Guardiola’s new team Manchester City before the semi-finals.

He said: “Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester City, Paris-Saint Germain… I’d find them in the semis or the final. Not before.”

The Bayern Munich boss added he expects Manchester City to reach the quarter finals, which would be widely expected given the club’s great start to the current season.

Pep Guardiola is already set to face Barcelona during the group stages of the Champions League, and it’d interesting to see if he also faces his another former club Bayern Munich, later in the tournament.

Should Guardiola be drawn against Ancelotti then the Spanish manager may well have an advantage, given his knowledge of Bayern.
