Hurriyet report Galatasaray are following developments very closely following claims of Alex Telles potentially moving to Chelsea.
The Turkish club will be owed 10% of Telles’ next transfer fee according to an agreement made when they sold the Brazilian to the Portuguese club in 2016.
Hurriyet say Galatasaray officials showing a keen interest in the negotiations between the two clubs and the Turkish newspaper also state the 27 year old is close to moving to Chelsea.
Galatasaray are expecting to generate something in the region of €4m if Telles switches to Stamford Bridge, which will give them a boost in meeting FFP for next season.
Cim Bom was Telles’ first club in Europe when they signed him from Gremio for €6.15m in 2014, during Roberto Mancini’s reign.
Telles has made a name for himself at Porto and is currently one of the key players in Sergio Conceiçao’s side. This has led to interest from other clubs, including Chelsea.
He’s made 22 appearances for Porto in the league this season, scoring eight goals and providing five assists.
His contract will expire at the end of next season.
There’s a possibility Galatasaray and the Turkish media are getting a little carried away. The Portuguese media have been quiet on Telles to Chelsea over the past few days and it doesn’t seem like there’s anything imminent on this one.
