AC Milan are interested in signing Benoit Badiashile from Chelsea this summer, according to reports from Italy.

The information is revealed by Tuttosport and relayed by TuttoMercatoWeb, claiming that following past links, the Rossoneri could try his transfer again.

While Milan look to strengthen their defence, they’re said to be ‘thinking about it’, and his situation at Chelsea could end up helping the scenario.

Badiashile is getting little space in the Blues’ squad, and that’s why he could have a ‘low price tag’.

TuttoMercatoWeb even jokes about it claiming it’s ‘redundant’ to see a player from the Stamford Bridge side costing little, as that’s something quite usual.

Milan already signed Ruben Loftus Cheek and Christian Pulisic from Chelsea last summer after successful deals for Olivier Giroud and Fikayo Timor (we’ll ignore Tiemoue Bakayoko), so it’s fair to say the clubs have a very good communication channel to discuss another potential transfer.

Badiashile, who was signed from Monaco for €38m in January 2013, only has 13 appearances made for the Blues this season, meaning an exit now wouldn’t be a big surprise, and since he’s still 23, maybe even a loan would be a solution for all.
