Heerenveen are eyeing up a move for Manchester City talent Filip Stevanovic and are already in talks about a move.

That’s according to Voetbal International, who say the two clubs are discussing a loan deal for the youngster.

According to the newspaper, Heerenveen are looking to add to their attacking options this summer, and Stevanovic has been in their ‘sights for some time now’.

They made the first contact about a move ‘some time ago’ and want him to make the switch to the Netherlands, but Manchester City are not in a rush to ship him out.

They signed Stevanovic from Partizan for around €8.5m in January this year and allowed him to stay at the club to mature.

Despite being 18, he has already managed 72 matches ‘at the highest level’ playing in the Serbian league and Europa League.

His next opportunity could now come in the Netherlands, with Heerenveen now ‘trying’ to bring him ahead of their season opener against Go Ahead Eagles on August 13th.

That means there is plenty of time to get a deal done, with Manchester City seemingly preferring to take their time before deciding what to do with a youngster who is considered a ‘great talent’ in his home country.
