Riyad Mahrez to AS Roma is back everyone. Rejoice!

It was only a matter of time following his failed transfer to Manchester City that other clubs would come knocking again, and Corriere dello Sport firmly believe the Italians want him again.

After all, the Leicester City forward had allegedly said ‘yes’ to a move to the Serie A side over the summer, only for the Foxes to block a departure as they carried on asking for more money.

The problem here, as always, will be the cost of the operation, as Roma are limited financially compared to the likes of Manchester City, yet there’s some (misplaced?) optimism from Corriere that this season might work in their favour.

The Italian newspaper state his performances will have ‘negatively impacted’ his value, although we’re not too sure about that, and that, with three years left on his contract, Leicester won’t be in a position to ask for the same amount of money they did in the summer.

This could very well be Mahrez’s last season at King Power Stadium, and with Eusebio Di Francesco a big fan of what he could bring to his team, still in search of that elusive Mohamed Salah replacement, Corriere are basically saying Roma will once again be in the mix come the summer.
