KV Oostende are set to make a big profit on Jack Hendry when he completes a permanent move from Celtic this summer.

That’s according to Voetbalkrant, who say clubs are lining up for the centre-back after his performances this season.

The Scottish defender has been a key player for Oostende while on loan from Celtic, making 27 appearances in the Jupiler Pro League.

Oostende are set to make his move a permanent one at the beginning of next month, having secured a £1.35m deal with the Parkhead side.

It seems he will not be staying at the club long-term, though, with Voetbalkrant reporting that they will ‘probably get a multiple’ of that amount to sell him.

Anderlecht, Antwerp and Club Brugge have already shown their interest in a deal, and sources in England have told the website that the latter have the ‘best papers’ to secure a deal.

There’s no mention of what the interested parties will be paying, but it seems Oostende are set to make a tidy profit either way, which is sure to frustrate Celtic.
