Seemingly set to sign Facundo Pellistri from Peñarol, Manchester United were also looking at Amad Traoré, currently at Atalanta.

The 18-year-old was reportedly one of the options to bring in to bolster the academy ahead of Brexit rules, and there were claims it would either be him or the Uruguayan.

Well, with Pellistri said to have had a medical on Saturday, Manchester United could actually end up with two, as Gianluca Di Marzio is reporting the Ivory Coast youngster is heading to Old Trafford.

The Sky Italia journalist took to Twitter to publish the news, simply claiming the forward ‘is going’ to the Premier League club from Atalanta.

There aren’t any details just yet, but it would likely be a full transfer and one that might have been brought forward after it was reported a move for Ousmane Dembélé, the number one alternative to Jadon Sancho, wasn’t going to take place.

It’s certainly not the star player the fans were wanting, and we’ll have to wait and see if it is both Traoré and Pellistri, or just one instead of the other.
