Former Trabzonspor player Lemi Celik has spoken to Turkish radio station Radyospor and said Chelsea are ready to make on offer for Ugurcan Cakir.

As covered via Yeni Asir, Celik claimed Chelsea are ‘seriously’ interested in signing the Trabzonspor goalkeeper, and are willing to offer up to €30m for the 24 year old.

The youngster has been linked with a move away from the Super Lig club throughout the season, with the likes of Liverpool, Leicester City, Everton and Tottenham all linked with the player.

Last month, claims in the Turkish media said Liverpool had made a €25m offer for the Turkish goalkeeper, with other reports stating Sevilla, Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur are also in the frame for him.

Chelsea have already been active in the transfer window after completing the signing of Ajax’s Hakim Ziyech, with RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner also reportedly on his way to Stamford Bridge.

Signing a goalkeeper, especially for such a fee, will surely only be a priority for Chelsea if Kepa leaves the club.
