Turkish newspaper Hurriyet claim Arsenal are keeping tabs on Le Havre left back Umut Meraş.

Its reported Arsenal are preparing an offer for the Turkish left-back, but face competition from FC Porto.

Meraş joined Le Havre from Bursaspor at the start of the season for €1.3m and was an important member of the French Ligue 2 side before their league came to a premature halt because of Coronavirus.

Hurriyet report Porto are looking to replace Alex Telles, who has been heavily linked with a move away from the club. However, Arsenal are also in the picture for Turkish international.

Arsenal scouts have reportedly been following Meraş’ performances since the start of the season and they see him a player with a lot of potential.

It’s claimed talks regarding his exit will take place in the coming days as the Normandy side could look to cash in on him this summer.

Meraş has made 22 appearances for his club this season and is under contract with Le Havre until June 2022.
