The City Football Group, Manchester City’s owners, continue their run of being linked to an impressive number of South American youngsters in the past few months.

This time, it seems they’re close to signing striker Nahuel Bustos from Argentine side Talleres.

TyC Sports journalist César Luis Merlo is the one bringing the news, saying an offer of €8m was made for 80% of the player’s rights.

This bid is ‘about’ to be accepted by Talleres, as there are ‘minimum details’ for the agreement to be completed.

Most reports from Argentina refer to the City Group as the group who owns Manchester City, but it’s still not clear if the Premier League side have plans for the striker.

César Luis Merlo says the 22-year-old would be loaned out to Girona, and doesn’t make it clear to which club he’d move on a permanent transfer. That’s usually Manchester City, but before affirming that, we better wait and see.

Even though Nahuel Bustos is part of Argentina’s U23 team, it’s also not clear if he’d be able to get a work permit for the Premier League.
