Earlier today, we covered a claim from Bild which stated Julian Nagelsmann doesn’t want to take a new job before the summer.

The manager was shown the door by Bayern Munich last month, to be replaced by Thomas Tuchel, and isn’t keen to rush back into a position.

Tottenham Hotspur have been repeatedly linked, and now that Chelsea have parted ways with Graham Potter, it’s natural the former Bayern coach is also being linked to the Blues.

Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Chelsea want Nagelsmann ‘right away’, not being keen on waiting until the summer to appoint him.

Bild’s slant, of the German not wanting a new position immediately, is backed up, but there’s one crucial difference.

Di Marzio’s report says that given the size of the Chelsea club, Nagelsmann is hesitating over his stance, making it sound like he could be tempted to move to Stamford Bridge quickly.

For now, he and his coaching team are on holiday, and that would be a slight barrier for any talks.
