Four days ago, we covered claims made in Italy that Chelsea have taken tentative steps for a swap deal involving Jorginho and Juventus’ Miralem Pjanić.
The ex-AS Roma man is also wanted by Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain and like the Blues, the two clubs are working on an exchange deal.
Mundo Deportivo now claims ‘all negotiations for Pjanić lead to Barca’. The midfielder wants the La Liga winners and the agreement between two clubs seems to be on track.
However, Frank Lampard’s side and PSG ‘threaten’ the Catalan club as they are trying to prevent the 30-year-old from making a switch to the Camp Nou. The former two have been probing the ground with the player’s entourage.
The Paris club are ready to offer Leandro Paredes as a part of the deal for Pjanić, but this option doesn’t please the Serie A winners.
Chelsea have ‘thrown the net’ over Pjanić and they would think of a swap deal by offering either of Jorginho or Emerson Palmieri. The two are liked very much by Maurizio Sarri and they played under his guidance at Stamford Bridge last season.
If Juve accept to take either of Jorginho or Emerson, then the midfielder could move to the English club.
For now, Mundo only mentions that Chelsea and PSG ‘threaten’ Barca’s operation for Pjanić and there’s nothing to indicate who among the three clubs will end up signing the Juventus player.
