With Montpellier star Elye Wahi drawing the interest from several clubs, Chelsea seem to be the latest to strongly join the race.

Italian outlet CalcioMercato.it comes up today to say the Blues are ‘pushing hard’ to land the 20-year-old this summer.

It’s said that Chelsea are ready for a ‘super offer’ as they try to beat Arsenal in the race.

For now, it just isn’t said how much the Blues are willing to put on the table to get the signing done.

With 17 goals and six assists in 32 appearances for Montpellier this season, Wahi has been drawing huge attention from European clubs.

Arsenal have been labelled as one of the main contenders, and this week, reports from France have been saying that there’s ‘talk’ about the Gunners placing the first bid for him.

That’s why Chelsea must be aware of the Gunners’ competition in this pursuit. The striker is valued by Transfermarkt at only €25m, but all this interest will undoubtedly convince Montpellier of demanding a lot more, especially when the first offers start to arrive.
