There continues to be optimism in the Italian media over Chelsea and Juventus eventually working things out and completing a deal involving Romelu Lukaku and Dusan Vlahovic.
Earlier claims from Gazzetta dello Sport said the deal was being arranged at a club level at Chelsea, rather than the Juve striker being a direct request of manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Gazzetta dello Sport now report negotiations are continuing, and whilst there’s an agreement on the value of Lukaku, with both clubs feeling €40m is fair, they’re still apart on Vlahovic.
According to the report, the Blues are ‘preparing’ to up their initial offer of an extra €20m in cash.
The past hour has seen claims in Italy that Vlahovic has flown to Germany today, which given there’s been claims of Bayern Munich interest had caused something of a transfer stir.
However, Gazzetta say he’s gone there to see a groin specialist. It was a routine visit, and not thought to be anything to worry about.
