Chelsea have set an asking price of €30m on left-back Emerson Palmieri, with Juventus keen to sign the Italy international.

Palmieri has been a regular for the Blues under Frank Lampard this season, making 11 appearances in all competitions this season.

The 25-year-old has established himself as first-choice under the new manager, but there are doubts about his long-term future at the club.

Former boss Maurizio Sarri is a known admirer and the last few months have seen numerous reports that he wants Juventus to sign his former defender.

Corriere Della Sera confirm that today, stating that Juve are keen on the Chelsea man as they want an alternative to Alex Sandro.

However, Chelsea’s asking price is causing a problem. They want €30m for Emerson, which is an issue, as Juventus wanted to start negotiations from a loan standpoint.

That means there’s a big difference between the two parties as this point, although the newspaper states ‘there will be time to find an agreement’ as ‘January is long’.

That implies they believe the two clubs can find a way to get a deal done, even though it appears they will be very far apart if or when negotiations do start.
