Chelsea signing could be agreed in next few days – Parties ‘very close’ to deal

Chelsea are closing in on the signing of RB Leipzig midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai, according to reports.

Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb writes there’s a ‘blitz’ from the Blues to land the 22-year-old, with negotiations becoming advanced.

It’s claimed that there are ‘contacts in progress’, and the parties are actually ‘very close’ to concluding a deal for his move to Chelsea.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, this agreement could be done in the next few days, even though there are no details on how much the Blues are putting on the table.

The rumours linking Szoboszlai to Chelsea have been ongoing since last year, when it was even mentioned his move to Stamford Bridge was ‘imminent‘.

However, the truth is that with the good season the midfielder has been having in Germany, there were links to many other Premier League sides as well. He has five goals and 13 assists in 31 appearances, and his talent wouldn’t go unnoticed.

That may be a reason why Chelsea seem to be hurrying up to get the signing done before the summer window opens. Right now, Szoboszlai is valued by Transfermarkt at €35m.
