Following the news that West Ham were interested in signing Armando Broja from Chelsea, a bit more information has come out from the Italian media about the Albania international’s current thoughts.

This comes amid interest from AS Roma in Gianluca Scamacca, for whom the Blues striker could be a replacement for if the Italian is allowed to head back to his home country.

Gazzetta dello Sport look at the entire situation, but the belief is the arrival of Broja from Chelsea could unlock the Italy international’s exit.

We’ve already covered this, but it’s also stated that the 21-year-old was ‘not at all happy’ with the recent arrival of Nicolas Jackson from Villarreal, whom he sees as extra competition in Mauricio Pochettino’s squad.

Signed for €37m, the Senegal international should bring goals to Chelsea’s attack, but with ‘spaces shrinking’ in the Blues squad, Broja ‘wants to go’ and play regularly elsewhere.

That’s why a move to the other side of London would make sense, especially if their manager over there is ‘not satisfied’ with the current attacking options at his disposal.

Therefore, a move for Broja makes sense, which could be good news for AS Roma.
