As Victor Osimhen’s departure from Napoli is slowly becoming one of the most obvious moves of next summer, Chelsea are now pushed as the favourites to get that signing done.

The Blues’ chase is today mentioned by CalcioMercato.it, who says it’s ‘first of all’ the Stamford Bridge side who pursue the striker, despite the competition from Manchester United and Real Madrid.

It’s said Chelsea and the other interested clubs are willing to do ‘crazy things’ to get Osimhen signed, as it’s well known that Napoli continue to make big demands for his sale.

Despite all the strong statements from club president Aurelio De Laurentiis saying Osimhen is a very expensive player, a clue that they’re getting ready to accept bids is that they may already have a replacement on the way.

It’s been claimed that Napoli see Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus as someone to take the Nigerian’s place, and by setting up his substitute, Napoli can now get prepared for his departure.

Osimhen is currently valued by Transfermarkt at €120m, and despite his current bad relationship with the Italian club, it’s hard to imagine Chelsea paying much less than that to win this race.
