Regardless of what happens in the coming week, Cristiano Ronaldo’s transfer from Real Madrid to Juventus will always be the surprise of the summer.

However, should Chelsea decide to let N’Golo Kanté leave in the next six days, that transfer would come close to rivalling it.

Of course, we’re nowhere near that yet, but it’s no secret the World Cup champion is one of Paris Saint-Germain’s dream recruits after Thiago Motta’s decision to retire.

We’ve all seen the latest reports claiming Kanté is currently in talks to become Chelsea’s best paid player, but a move shouldn’t be discarded yet.

At least, that’s what TF1 are reporting on Friday, claiming ‘everything remains open’ regarding a transfer for the defensive midfielder, and should this evolve over the coming days, two clubs could join Paris Saint-Germain.

The French outlet state both Real Madrid and Barcelona are also keen, and the pair are seen as Kanté’s ‘priority’ were he to decide to leave Stamford Bridge.

This means Paris Saint-Germain would have to be extremely convincing if they are to supersede the La Liga pair.

Again, we’re nowhere near this happening, and it’s very likely nothing will come of it, but it’s something to keep in mind going into next week.
