At a big Premier League club like Chelsea, the normal thing for their loanees would be to dream of returning and having a chance to succeed at Stamford Bridge one day.

But since the Blues have been loaning youngsters out for longer than they should, it seems more and more are believing they’ll never get the chance, despite what’s happened this season.

In the past couple of months, we’ve covered a few interviews in which Lucas Piazon made it clear he would like to be sold, and not loaned again, even though he’s now having a new spell at Rio Ave.

And this is the situation of Nathan as well. The Brazilian has been at Atlético Mineiro since June 2018, and in an interview this week, has made it clear he has no plans to return to Chelsea.

“I adapted very well. At first it was a little difficult on my arrival, but now I feel at home. I’m very interested in staying, I’ve even talked to my father, who takes care of it. I said that I feel good here, I feel at home, I like everyone who works here, from the president to those who work in the kitchen,” he said (via Super Esportes).

“I have no enmity with anyone, everyone is my friend, I get along great with everyone. I know that in day to day I can help Galo a lot.”

Since signing for Chelsea in 2015, Nathan has had loan spells at Vitesse, Amiens, Belenenses and Atlético. His contract with the Blues expires next year.
