For a while now, the future of Mohamed-Ali Cho is of big interest in France.

The former Everton youth player is currently having the time of his life at Angers SCO, where he is a regular starter and has caught the eye of big clubs such as Chelsea and Atlético Madrid.

L’Equipe look at his situation on Thursday, revealing that it’s actually Borussia Dortmund who have taken the bigger steps for a player the Ligue 1 club are ‘dreaming’ of getting €40m for.

Chelsea are also in the mix, as it’s claimed they are ‘following the situation’, clearly interested but seemingly occupied elsewhere for the time being.

After all, €40m (or perhaps less, since that’s the ‘dream’ figure) is a lot of money, especially for a 17-year-old, and with the left-back situation currently problematic at Stamford Bridge these days, Marina Granovskaia has bigger fish to fry in January.

Perhaps if Cho is still there come the summer?
